Today, after we as a whole watched her victory the strange number of candles on her monster 100th birthday celebration cake, my grandma gazed toward every one of the 27 of us – her youngsters, grandkids, incredible grandkids, and more distant family – and stated, "Look what I began. This family. I am so glad to be a piece of your lives."
